norwalk for lunch.
i have some business near sono on monday. i did a search on the board and didn't come up with anything conclusive. i'll be on my own and don't need a burger/fish & chips meal.
i read about meigas (sp?). is this place ok? chinese is always an option provided it's top drawer. thai is attractive\, malay, too. i understand pasta nostra doesn't serve lunch so i guess italian is out.
any thoughts?
thanks in advance.

jfood would just head to Washington Street and see what hits you in the palate. Then to Chocopologie for some dessert.

I actually like to have lunch at Chocopologie because it's not often I can order a crepe. We've been a few different times and enjoyed everything we ate. If you're dining solo, it's a great opportunity to sit along the bar-like area and take a peek into the windows as they're making all the lovely chocolates. Here's a link to the menu:

Well, too late for Monday, but maybe another trip. Where did you go, steve h.?

i bailed.
showed up at 8 a.m. at the acura dealer for a scheduled appointment, popped over to david harvey at 9:30 for my watch's 10-year tuneup (it will take 5 weeks!) and got out of dodge by 11:30. the dealership gave me a fancy loaner but i parked it nearby and walked through the sweltering heat and humidity. temps reminded me of singapore. the desolation of downtown norwalk, however, was more third-world than most third-world countries i've been to lately. what happened to this town?

Downtown Norwalk is sad. South Norwalk is where it is, sadly.

Chocopologie is amazing.
I like The Lime for a healthy lunch...if you want some latin cuisine, I am in love with Valencia. Empanadas -- or anything -- with their green sauce!!!!!

thanks, allie.
i feel bad because i didn't take the time to explore all alternatives. i'm pretty resourceful and loathe to give up. i'll do better next time and report back in five weeks or so.

Stev, BTW. M&M Jfood are heading to ROme in 2 weeks. If he remembers you and Deb have a place there. Do you have any recommendations for good eats?
TIA

i'm fairly persistent and don't take kindly to negation. but sometimes you have to fold 'em.

One more recommendation, though it's not in SoNo, it's on Route 1 (the Post Rd.) past Stew Leonard's and Penzey's--Bond Grill Asian Bistro. Their sushi is fab as is their coconut soup, all served up in a very cool setting with great service. We've been at least three times for lunch and love it.
