Fisherman's Feast - North End this weekend

We attended our first feast last weekend (while heading to dinner walked through it rather). Any thoughts on this feast coming up? Is the vendors food worth trying? I have to say that the fried calamari last weekend (based on looks alone) looked and smelled great coming from one of the vendors. Calzones too looked tasty. There were various pasta dishes available too that did look good and probably alot cheaper than what we paid to sit down and eat!!!!

If the arepa and chicharron cart is there, definitely get some (not exactly Italian, but they are the best I've had in the area). I will suppress my agoraphobia, and risk getting trampled by the drunken masses just to get some food off of that cart.

I don't know that I would make a special trip just for the food, but if you are in the area or just want to walk around the city on a nice weekend, it's worth a stop. I usually stick to the calamari served by an older guy with a white beard. He looks like an old fisherman. Always fried perfectly. Add to that some raw oysters or clams and a cannoli and you have a nice lunch. I was not very impressed by the arancini I got last year. Just lacked any flavor.
