Has any one been to Paul, the new BYOB that recently opened on Pine Street in Antiques Row? Same owners from Effie's and Pine street pizza.

I'm thinking about going this weekend. I checked on the web and there's a couple of decent reviews on Menu pages.

it's pretty damn pricey, even for a BYO. Other than a chicken item for 22, all entrees are $27-29. the reviews better be phenomenal for those prices.

They must have gotten the memo re: their prices, as they are now doing a Tuesday night 3-course prix fixe for $20, and the rest of the week for $30. Definitely worth checking out at those prices.
Anyone been recently?

My wife and went about a month after it opened. We though everything was pretty good, but not quite as good as we expected for the prices and the descriptions. Also, they were playing this annoying generic techno music the whole time that I really found annoying.

Overall, for the prices and style of food, you are much better off walking (or taking a cab) to Matyson.

no surprise given that's how i've felt about effie's (same owners). at least with effie's, you're not paying best-in-town prices.

i just saw in the OP that the same people own pine street pizza?!?! that s**t is vile.
