Take Home Dessert Needed In Ocean/Monmouth County, NJ

We are going over to a friend's place for dinner on Saturday. We plan to bring dessert to their place. Any suggestions? It will only be two couples enjoying quite evening together. Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind buying individual desserts, Eurasian Eatery always has a nice selection. They are located across the street from the Count Basie Theatre.

With their website up & menus provided, you can peruse the dessert "cart"

Not sure where you are but if you are near Asbury Park, Il Pavonne has delicious pastries and gelato/sorbets.

Thanks dani and ejbd. To give you more information, I work in Monmouth in Shrewsbury/Red Bank area while my live in Ocean County. Both Asbury Park and Atlantic Highlands are not too far away from work. I am considering picking up the dessert Friday night or Saturday morning. The one problem I may have if I pick up something on Friday, say from Flakey Tart or II Pavonne, I will have to get back on the Parkway to get home(well, you know how it is like on Friday afternoons...) My choices will be more limited since due to the extended time in the car. I do not think that I can gamble with gelato/sorbets.

If you can get there before they close, I suggest Flakey Tart in Atlantic Highlands.
