Redbones Pig Fest
I went to the Redbones pig fest last night and had one of the best meals I've had there in a long time. Robert was carving up the pigs out on the street. $25 (which went to charity) got you all you could eat plus one drink. The pulled pork was delicious, the sliced pork was unbelievable but ran out quickly, even the mac n cheese was delicious.
I enjoyed the event too, and am glad to raise money for the Somerville Homeless Coalition.
I really liked my pork skin - but had never seen it before (and had wondered why). Does one scrape the meat off the skin to eat, or chew on bites of skin for minutes at a time (as I did, and enjoyed, but felt a little Fletcheristic while doing)?
