YYC: FYI Fresh Bluefin Tuna at Osteria di Medici & Zen8

According to CTV a rare Bluefin Tuna was caught off the east coast and the co-owner at Osteria purchased some 900+lbs of it. Both Osteria and Zen8 are supposed to be featuring this rare fish on their menus.

    1. I saw that too. Now, if Chef's Studio Japan had gotten their hands on some of that tuna, I'd be burning rubber all the way to Canmore :o)

        1. I went to Sushi Club today and they had wild Yokowa from Japan - that's baby bluefin tuna. Unfortunately, they served the last piece as I was figuring out my order so I didn't get a taste. I would assume they are not the only ones that brought it in so a visit to your favorite sushi restaurant might be in order.

          1. Apparently Zen8 ran out in 2-1/2 days. Too bad, I'd have loved to try it. They said they're getting more next week.

              Don't buy into the hype-it's just Tuna.

              I've eaten 'em **all** and caught/eaten many of 'em fresh-there's a reason Albacore is called the Cadillac of Tuna.
