Any "Julie & Julia" tie-ins?

Robert Lauriston Aug 10, 2009 07:06 PM

Are any local restaurants making dishes from the movie, such as pâté de canard en croûte or boeuf bourguignon?

Although they don't mention the movie, it looks as if Le Petit Laurent has boeuf bourguignon on the menu. Le Zinc (on 24th) usually has it as well.

I saw the movie on Saturday afternoon with three friends at the Westfield. When we stepped outside afterwards, "I'm hungry for boeuf bourguignon" was our simultaneous cry! If Le Charm down the street had it on the menu, we'd have been so there.

Pretty funny. I visited Le Charm after watching "Ratatouille."

Woodwards Garden is doing some of Julia's dishes. Menu on the blog link.

Nice, but I don't think any of those dishes were in the movie.

Sorry. I haven't yet seen the film, and thought that at least some of those "signature" dishes might have been in it. Still worth eating, though!

Apparently the Sundance Kitchen (by the theater) will be serving some of Julia Child's signature dishes.
