Fun and unique idea - birthday dinner with ten girls in their twenties!

I'd love some unique ideas for a restaurant to hold a bday dinner at for a group of fabulous lively girls in their late twenties. Maybe a place with a fun atmosphere? unique cuisine? lively scene? entertainment?

I'm definitely open to suggestions - just want to provide a great time!

The dinner will be on a Thursday night and we'd like to stay somewhat central - not too far uptown and not too far downtown (tribeca).

Thanks so much!

What price point and what cuisine?

I usually like Zarela or Paladar for birthday dinners if you like Mexican or Otto for a lively atmosphere if you want Italian

If you can give some more insight as to the general price point you are looking for, you might get some more helpful suggestions, though.

For price point, I would say moderate. Nothing too crazy but the girls are willing to spend a bit.

      For cuisine, we're indifferent!

Café Noir (Thompson and Grand) is fun and unique while remaining respectably cool.
Very sensibly-priced French/Spanish/Moroccan cuisine (tapas and full plates) with great European music and staff. It has several long tables in the dining room where they can seat 10 easily and comfortably while the bar up front is open on two sides and gets a near-constant breeze in the summer. It is my favorite old-school SoHo place at its price point.
The crowd is mostly mixed singles that tend to dress with a bit of style.
When you leave, there are plenty of other places in walking distance.

Gyu-kaku- good for groups, fun, you cook your own food on grills in the middle of the table
