lunch recommendation around grand central

  • 6

Hi - I'm an out of towner looking for a recommendation for lunch tomorrow around Grand Central - walking distance would be preferred but I am open to a short subway ride for something spectacular. Looking at a price of $25 or less pp (there will be 2), no need for reservations. Cuisine wise I am unfussy but would prefer something a little more unusual than a burger. Thanks for any suggestions in advance!!

    1. Pera Mediterranean Brasserie which specializes in Turkish/Mediterranean cuisines. Very nice, good food, great atmosphere.

I also suprisingly enjoy Zocalo for Mexican, which is actually in Grand Central Station.

Agree with Zocalo! I thought I was the only one...

Good to hear the feedback on Pera...Was curious about it.

It's going to be hard to keep it under $25 pp unless you just get appetizers/salads.

          1. I like having lunch at Soba Totto where you can easily get a box set lunch and be in and out for < $25pp including tax and tip. None of the box sets are over $20. It's also very convenient to Grand Central Terminal.
