Excellent Dinner at Noce - Short Review

Had dinner last week at Noce (Queen West and Walnut - opposite Trinity Bellwoods Park) and it was excellent. Started with the stuffed olives, buffalo mozzarella salad and beef carpaccio. Beef carpaccio had a horse radish slaw which added a kick but was not overpowering. For my main course I had the fish special - red snapper in parchment with fingerling potatoes - fish was cooked perfectly. My partner had the gnocchi special - which was in a smoked cheese sauce - very rich but very delicious - leftovers made for a tasty lunch the next day. The chocolate mousse that we had for dessert - not overly sweet chocolate with a hint of salty caramel - was probably the best dessert that we've had in a long time! Warm service from the owner, perfect timing on courses - overall a very special evening.

I love Noce. Been happily going there for years. It's one of my favourite places in this city especially for the gnocchi (as mentioned) and risotto. Quality of the food is consistently good and it's nice to see such a charming little place endure, almost like it's a best kept secret. Thanks for posting your review.

I love Noce. Great food, and a terrific wine list.
