LA to SF run - Friday AM

My youngest daughter is moving to SF to attend SFSU. My wife and I are driving up Friday morning and hauling some of her stuff.

We are looking for breakfast suggestions in route. We will be taking the 5 north leaving LA about 4:30AM.

I'm making my annual mecca down I-5 from SF to LA on Friday. I too am looking for any place new or note worthy to stop at along the way.

Just made the trip and there's nothing but fast food. The only semblance of a real restaurant is Harris Ranch, but the fast food is better.

I stopped for lunch at Popeye's in Santa Nella (east side of I-5). Chicken biscuits were fresh, ice tea cold and the bathroom was clean. Also stopped at Harris Ranch for pecan drop cookies. Yum!
