Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival (Columbia MO)?

I'll be in and near Columbia during the weekend in September of the Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival (http://rootsnbluesnbbq.com) and I love barbecue. Looking at their website, you don't get to taste the barbecue from the BBQ contest competitors. Is this a worthy event to attend to get to taste/eat good barbecue from several sources?

I was there last year, and it is definitely worth going to. You can walk around the competition area which is kind of cool to see. There is plenty of good BBQ to be had, BBQ joints travel from all over the midwest to set up their stands and sell their food. Can't forget about the free blues concerts as well.

I had a great time last year, and will be making the trip again.

Side note--- I just looked over their website again, and it looks like they are charging admission to the concert areas this year.

That's true. I'm not clear if the BBQ vendor sales area will be in the pay-for or free area. Do you know?

What will the free area include?
The free area will feature family-friendly live music, food and beverage vendors and the BBQ competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
