I just read through most of the past posts about Gus.

But they're at least a year old.

Anyone been there lately?

I went once (or twice? now I can't remember) after the miraculous rebirth from its previous repulsive incarnation...but it must not have made much of an impression, because it absolutely *never* occurs to me to go back. Funny!

The food hasn't changed in a year. Decent food for families or casual dinner. Better than the Barnburner up the street. Nice mint juleps. Don't expect miracles, but the pulled pork sandwich and the fried chicken can be good.

When I had the fried chicken, it tasted okay but it was boneless. Maybe it's just me, but boneless fried chicken is just plain wrong.
