<content>The heat got to me while exploring the back roads of Sonoma County today. I was going to give the new fro-yo place a try when I spotted two people carrying this really good looking shave ice.

Truly it looks good because when I ordered it, people nearby asked about it and ordered it. We all liked it a lot.

The ice is wonderful ... extremely fine ... like the texture of fresh fallen snow.

There are up to three flavors to choose, but I just went with a pink lemonade / strawberry combo. The lemonade was fine, but the strawberry was super. It had a true strawberry taste, no chemical-tasting 7-11 slushy flavor. Next time I might pony up the extra buck for the "Island Snow" shave ice made with vanilla bean ice cream. They also sell about a dozen flavors of Cascade Ice cream

It is in the little plaza right next to La Salette, and after sitting in the shade in the pleasant plaza I was feeling cool and human again.

They make their own chocolate and truffles using Callebaut chocolate. They also make fudge. There are lots of coated cookies and snacks such as chocolate covered pretels, iced nutter butters, Oreo's with pink icing.

There is a list of espresso drinks playing in the cow theme such as "cow' puccino, "calf" latte, "moo" cha, steaming truffle (flavored mocha) My favorite name for one of the smoothies is the mad cow.

There's a lot of cow stuff to buy. There's also a lot of candy in apothecary jars, some lesser seen candies, pop rocks, etc.

The staff is super pleasant. The woman just ahead of me looked like she was having heat stroke as well and they asked us if we wanted some iced water. There's also a big milk can in the front of the store that dispenses cold water.
