Favorite seafood in town?

From the sushi at Mori to the fish tacos at Señor Baja (née El Taco Nazo) to the crudo at Il Grano to dim sum at Sea Harbour, there is a lot of wonderful, varied seafood that I love in town.

I’m wondering what people’s favorites are regardless of style or price. Just great seafood. In the end for me, as much as I love a simple grilled shrimp taco, it has to be Providence for me, which I think is the best restaurant in town.

What about you?

Urasawa, without doubt. Catch is excelent but not as good as Providence on a good day.

Catch in the Casa del Mar, SM has excellent crudo.

CHers seem to love the new fried joint in Long Beach, Louisiana's Best Seafood.

Malibu Seafood has wonderfully fresh stuff as a market, or as a roadside shack experience.

        three places for me:
        sushi zo
        mariscos chente
        providence

haven't been to urasawa, so can't comment on that experience. .

Mariscos Chente is a dining adventure worth the trip.

or, in my case, worth practically moving in.

I like La Serenata di Garibaldi in East LA on First Street.
Beautiful fresh food and great choice of sauces.

Full agreement with La Serenata. For seafood and a great raw bar, I suggest the Water Grill downtown.
