Mitzi's - the second location

When I was at Mitzi's, on Saurauren, the staff mentioned that a second location was opening on College St. Just wondering if anyone has been there and how it compares to the original.
Mitzi's gets so busy for breakfast and it would be nice to have another location. ( Mitzi's Sister on Queen, is not open for breakfast.)

  1. Haven't been there yet myself, but we were talking to the owner when we were at Mitzi's Sister for dinner last week, and she said they're doing pretty much the same sort of stuff as they do at the original Mitzi's and for the brunch at Mitzi's Sister. Including the famous oatmeal pancake, of course.

The new location is breakfast/lunch/brunch only for now, and is unlicensed, but they plan on adding dinner service and getting licensed at some point, once the initial post-opening craziness has calmed down.

    1. I've been to the new one more times than the original, mostly because of proximity. As far as I can tell, it's the same caliber - and the pancakes are definitely as good. (My brunch companion said they were the best pancakes he's ever had.)

      1. i've been to the to one one queen on a Saturday and they only offered a regular menu which seemed an abbreviated version of the Sorauren location.

The best part of Mitzi's I think is the fishcakes and the chalkboard specials and Queen didn't have those.

Is the College location like this too?

        1. I love the pancake, and used to go to the Sorauren location quite often. The prices have gone up so much though, that I certainly can't do it regularly. $13.95 for their meals? And I don't like the potatoes at all and need more to fill up so I get a couple eggs on the side. SO expensive!

The Queen location (Mitzi's Sister) is totally different from the Sorauren one, and the new College one is set up to also be more like the original cafe. The Sister is more of a bar with dinner and brunch.
