Quebec City - one night on honeymoon - where to go?

So we are driving through Quebec City on the first night of our honeymoon and staying at the Chateau Frontenac. It will be a Monday night (which makes a difference here in TO, I don't know if it does in QC). I would like to find a special place for dinner for that one night.
Seeing as we just paid for a wedding, we will be broke and would prefer something that doesn't break the bank. Would probably like to spend around $150 for dinner and one drink each (a beer and a wine). Cheaper is of course better but still want good food. Also bonus points if it is close enough to the hotel that we could walk, although a short cab ride for the right place is not out of the question.

Would probably like to go to a place with the french/Quebec type menu

Any suggestions?

I am from Toronto and just got back from 4 nights in Quebec.
In my review I have descriptions and pricing.
I would go to L'Echaude or Pain Beni For Quebec type foods in your budget.
Both are within less than a 8 minute walk from your hotel.

I'd agree with Porto on L'Echaude. Good food, typical bistro atmosphere, close enough to walk to from your hotel, and you could probably both eat well with one drink each for around $100. Can't comment on Pain Beni because I haven't been there yet.
