Sirloin flap meat in Mount Pleasant?

Has anyone seen sirloin flap meat (like skirt steak but thicker) in the Mount Pleasant area? I've seen it at Costco/Whole Foods in other cities...thought I'd check there, but everyone I speak to on the phone is unaware of the cut that I'm referring to. Thanks!

Do you mean flank steak? Try Whole Foods or New York Butcher on Coleman.

I recently discovered this cut, and really enjoy it. I live in Boston and flap steak is what is usually served if you buy or order steak tips.

You might want to try any major supermarket that sells steak/sirloin tips and ask the butcher if he will sell you the whole piece..5-6 lbs and not trim or cut it into strips.

I've cut it into tips or roasted a 2-3 lb piece on the grill with great success.

It's not in Mt. P, but the H & L Asian Supermarket in North Charleston has flap steak.
