Ahmanson Area Sunday Brunch or ??
Show starts at 1pm Sunday, so I'm wondering if anyone would recommend any of the nearby hotels or restaurants (doubtful they're serving on a Sunday morning, but...) for either a brunch or late breakfast or a very early lunch? Any food, reasonable cost, bar a bonus, we'll have a car.

Hi TB.
The Nickel Diner downtown might be an interesting choice. It's a 3 minute drive, or a 10-15 minute walk, but the food's interesting and pretty good, and the setting is fun. (You'll feel like you're back in the 1940's, only with lots of modern day hipsters.) There's easy parking on the street or in pay lots near by.
Another great choice, also a short drive, would be the Pacific Dining Car downtown. Excellent breakfasts, including a superb top sirloin and eggs, great Swiss eggs or avocado scramble, and great pancakes. (Just stay away from their biscuits.) Not cheap, but much more reasonably priced than their lunch/dinner menu.
Lastly, if you want cheap, both Philippe and the Pantry are reasonably close. Otherwise, I bet the Checkers or Biltmore hotels have lunch or brunch on Sundays (although call them first, because I've no actual experience with either for this).
