Suggestions for a good raw bar in the Cape? Nantucket?
I'm not an expert, but it seems that variety is lacking on the Cape. Many big city raw bars will offer several varieties of oysters and clams, while the Cape concentrates on Wellfleets (natch) and Littleneck clams. This is not a bad thing. Of the places I tried, two restaurants with the word "oyster" in them were best - Impudent Oyster in Chatham, and Wicked Oyster in Wellfleet. Both had great food and service as well. I guess there has to be a more sophisticated raw bar out there somewhere, I'm just not sure where.
