Does anyone have some suggestions for a good raw bar in the Cape? We're taking a day trip out to Nantucket and would love to have an oyster feast lunch somewhere! Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I highly recommend the Wicked Oyster in Wellfleet. The oysters they serve are truly excellent, and so is the rest of the menu. It's our favorite restaurant on the Cape, and we count it among our best dining experiences anywhere.

Thanks! I've read some excellent reviews on the Wicked Oyster. We'll definitely check it out! Any suggestions for places to eat in Nantucket? Lunch & dinner?

    2. I have had many fun times with great seafood at the Raw Bar in Mashpee. They, as the name implies, have a great raw bar set up.

      1. On Nantucket, though I haven't been in two years, is Sayles, a fish market/clam and lobster shack. There aren't too many informal places on Nantucket so this is my default place. They do (or did) have a raw bar.

The Ropewalk, at the end of Straight Wharf, downtown, has a good raw bar (Nantucket). I suppose The Lobster Trap has one too, though I haven't been there in years. You will pass the Lobster Trap if you are walking away from town, on Washington St, heading to Sayle's Fish Market.

        2. I line in Nantucket and my wife loves to go to The Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant hotel. They have a full raw bar with oysters, clams, crab, prawns. We always get one of the samplers. You should check them out.

          1. I second the Wicked Oyster. I also like The Bookstore's raw bar, though not their food in general.
