So suppose you approach dinnertime and suddenly you feel that a fine beef stew is just what you want (yeah, even in August). What restaurant would you head for in the Hartford metro area? Diner? Ethnic? Thanks for your thoughts.
I never tried it there, but they serve lamb stew at Vaughans Irish Pub in Hartford.
Mayor Mike's has a decent beef stew, accompanied by an equally decent beer list.
I would walk over to The Half Door and grab a bowl of "Irish stew," which like Vaughan's, is made with lamb. I have fantasies about that stuff.
