Picnic or takeout food around Long Island CIty

Going to Gantry Plaza Park for a nice picnic. We would like to pick up some food in the area and then bring it with us. Are there any places to pick up sandwiches or any restaurants that do takeout on Saturday during lunch time?

Mario's, Manducatis Rustica or Communitea, all three are excellent and on Vernon. Each a bit different.
