I finally ventured into this place last night after reading Scott Joseph's blog about it. I definitly agree with him on the decor, it just doesn't feel right. Also the sun that comes through the big open windows at dusk is almost unbearable. we had to move away from the window. They need those sahded that houston's has.

Aso for the food, I was not impressed. I wasn't surprised though because i've never really liked any of tato's places. I had high hopes for this though. The best roll we had was the shrimp tempura. It was pretty good. The volcano roll was bland and nothing like fuji's dynamite roll which is what they are trying to copy i think. The spicy slamon roll and philly roll were tiny and average. My date ordered the seafood risotto which was unedible. The mussels were GROSS, they must have been rotten. The risotto itself was way too salty. the waiter was nice enough to take it off the check which was nice.

Maybe since it is new they are working out the kinks. I'll probably give it one more try in a couple months, that is if it stays open longer than Tato's last place Rustic.

I agree with about everything said above. The food is extremely sub par especially for the price. This place is going to tank as soon as tato gives up on it. The chef that created the well though out menu quit due to their incompetence. So any "kinks" that they have to work out are only going to get worse. Avoid.
