Are you making a specialty food?

Looking for great Happy Hour places in the Valley!

CEfromLA Aug 5, 2009 04:50 PM

We've done Flemings and Morton's (which are both good).
Where should we go next?

Only rules are:
The Valley
No sushi (yeah...I know...)
Friday nights, hopefully until 7:00pm.

What kind of munchies does Monty's have?
Anyone done HH at Ruth's Chris?

I was astonished by their free munchies. Served by busboys acting as waiters. When I was last there we got fried shrimp, meatballs, fried zucchini, fried stuffed mushrooms, ribs and a couple of other things I can't recall. They serve the shrimp last. They are not stingy with the food and give you fresh plates. And they don't seem to mind if you stuff yourself for the price of a single beer or ginger ale.

That's good to know! Free munchies are always a good thing!
We went to Ruth's Chris last Friday to scope it out. They have something called Prime "Bites' for $3.95 ea. The options were ahi, a kobe slider, shrimp cocktail, crab cake, filet on bruchetta and one or two others. We had 4 (ahi, slider, shrimp and bruchetta). They were tasty, but tiny (literally, a bite, no surprise). We also got a 'cone' of homemade potato chips that were warm and delicious that were free. The bar area of the Woodland Hills RC is very nice, so it was a pleasant couple of hours!
          Next week; Monty's!
