Anywhere in the boroughs or manhattan. Was thinking Peter Luger, but birthday boy is craving some raw oysters. And perhaps a decent beer? Preferably a setting that is not exceedingly extravagant.

That is GENIUS.....and then maybe Dressler, for a Peach Parfait and/or glass of St. Germain.....a trifecta, I say. :)

If you're in Manhattan, the Old Homestead has excellent oysters and excellent steak. In Brooklyn, go to Marlow & Sons for oysters, then go next door to Diner for their grass fed steaks. Had a great NY strip last night.
