Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and The Bronx

Recommendations? Start with oysters on half shell, followed by steak

Anywhere in the boroughs or manhattan. Was thinking Peter Luger, but birthday boy is craving some raw oysters. And perhaps a decent beer? Preferably a setting that is not exceedingly extravagant.

If you're in Manhattan, the Old Homestead has excellent oysters and excellent steak. In Brooklyn, go to Marlow & Sons for oysters, then go next door to Diner for their grass fed steaks. Had a great NY strip last night.
