French bistro food in the SVF

Looking for good French bistro food in the San Fernando Valley for late lunch - early dinner - going to see Julie and Julia on Sunday - want to keep the theme going! West Valley preferred but I think Sherman Oaks or Studio City will have better choices.

    Pinot Bistro

Mistral is closed on Sunday, yet just east of it is Le Petit Restaurant which has decent French bistro fare, as in mussels, lamb chops, etc.
La Frite on Ventura between Van Nuys and Sepulveda is also very French bistro, and both of these are more affordable than the Bistro Garden or Mistral, and probably not unlike the prices at Pinot Bistro.
Of course there is a La Frite in Woodland Hills on Ventura near Fallbrook, fwiw, even though I do not care for that location like the Sherman Oaks version.

    2. Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks

      1. Le Petit Chateau in Studio City. On Lankershim. Super French.

        1. Le Sanglier on (sort of) Ventura in Tarzana, I believe. Just a semi-block south of Ventura. Maybe a step up from bistro food but delicious in any case.

          1. We return regularly to Rive Gauche in Sherman Oaks for one of the most beautiful, romantic patios in LA and their outstanding French Onion soup. I normally have the seafood brochette, but they always have several specials which are unfailingly good. I also find their vegetable preparation to be spot on each and every time we go.
