Hi all,

A search turned up but one lone mention of laksa to be found here in Boston -- it was mentioned as the only worthwhile dish at Number One Noodle House in Newton.

Anyone have leads on good laksa at other joints in the area? I have a craving...

The Penang version is so-so. I was disappointed as i was expecting some batonnet of fresh pineapple (which i believe to be an important ingredient in the Penang style of assam laksa) and there was wasn't any the last time i tried it.

If you are thinking of the other kind of laksa which is actually curry mee noodles with a rich aromatic coconut broth, then you will fare better at Penang. They call it Curry mee yong tau fu and it's quite good.
