Saw some beer under the Costco house label, 24 pack, 6 each of 4 types. Any idea who the brewer is, and if the stuff is any good? I'da grabbed a box myself, but due to a health problem I'm currently limited in my beer consumption.

Originally, the Gordon Biersch Brewing Co. under the "dba" name of "Hoppen Und Malz Brewing Co., San Jose, CA". (Interestingly, some of the rear labels stated: "Developed for Costco by German-educated brewmaster Dan Gordon".) It appears that recent batches (or perhaps just for the East Coast?) are coming from F. X. Matt, with the "dba" of "New Yorker Brewing Co., Utica, NY".
