Last Night in MSP for French Exchange Student - College Age

We have one last night - tomorrow night (Tuesday) with our French College age exchange student before she goes home.

We have young children - so we will be going early (5-6/630) Family friendly/cool place suggestions that she can remember when she goes home would be appreciated. We would like a restaurant with nice atmosphere - preferably on the Minneapolis side of town.

Thoughts, suggestions? Outside would be a bonus since the past two weeks have been freezing.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

  1. Brasa - for some awesome uniquely American food.
Vincent - to illustrate what happens to a Frenchman living in the Midwest
Chatterbox - (not the Edina one, it's no good) board games! Nintendo! Midwest pub-ish food!
Matt's, 5-0-8, or The Nook - Juicy Lucy! Twin Cities institution!
    Victor's 1959 Café - awesome Cuban food
Restaurant Alma - (not the most kid friendly I suppose) my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities
Longfellow Grille - patio right by the mighty Mississippi
Chuck E. Cheese - everything evil, overstimulating, and consumer gimme-gimme about American culture... ;)

    1. As AMG mentioned, Brasa is always a good choice.

I would throw in Masa as well, although Mexican food for the last night might not be what you're looking for. Are you trying to do something Midwestern/Minnesotan for the last night?

      Brasa Rotisserie
      600 E Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414

1070 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

      1. Maybe Applebee's? There's a truly "typical" American restaurant, especially for college students. Bring her their for the half-price appetizers.

        1. We ended up going to Longfellow and then to Minnehaha Falls. Thanks for the good suggestions to AMG & Big E.

          Applebees? Really? Come on now.

No thanks to CEC.... I don't believe in gambling for young or old.
