Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in the Tristate Area

Spanish Food in Flanders, LI

Ate once and did one takeout at Cabana Latina on Route 24, just south of Route 104 in Flanders. The food was excellent and very low priced. The clientele were local area Spanish families and the place could use Air Conditioning, which I believe that 'Mike Esposito's, the prior incarnation of this restaurant had.

The takeout menu is less expensive than eating in. They have specialties from many Latin American countries. I took out three tacos, which came with two wrappers each. The hot sauce was on the side and the tacos were all meat, and very tasty. The chicken burrito was good as well as the rice and beans. Not a fancy place, but just good eats.

    1. I was wondering how they were, they have another place in Hampton Bays which always looks busy, but this one also has a bar ?(leftover from Mike Espositos I assume). Although I'll probably do take out myself. Looks like they fixed it up a lot nicer than before.
