Smoky Mountains Fish Market?

j

I'll be in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas this weekend and would love to prepare some rainbow trout. Are there any decent fish markets with local catches and I will driving around so it doesn't have to be immediate area. Alternatively, does any restaurant have it on the menu? I understand this area to be a food wasteland.

Thanks in advance!

Sunburst Farms is carried at many different markets. You may want to do a search and see what's close to where you'll be.

I don't know of a good fish market, but there are a number of "catch your own" ponds in that area. This list might be helpful:

The Shrimp Shack in Knoxville has been advertising that they are opening a restaurant in Sevierville. I haven't been there, but The Shrimp Shack has some of the best inland seafood I've ever had. And they, being frugal residents of Louisiana who now are in TN, cook up any seafood they don't sell, so we have a source for excellent gumbo, shrimp etoufee, crab bisque, etc. If they bring half those flavors to their place in Sevierville, they should be a major find.
