Place your votes here! Maybe with a little work we can prevent Domino's as Phx Best Pizza and Samurai Sam's as Best Chinese - tell your friends to vote, vote, vote!

The votes are due by August 13th, and the results will be posted August 20th.

  1. Is it just me or are these categories pretty limited? It seems like they would benefit from a few more specific questions, and the poll seems to me to be missing several important, major categories. Oh well, I guess they weren't asking me...

    1. I copied the official rules from the link above. Read #2 and weep! Obviously we cannot stuff the ballot box with our own votes -- and would you want to win the grand prize? One dozen wings from The native New Yorker, once a week for a year............. I think I'll just go back to ignoring the results of these "Best Of ........." polls and rely on CH and my own experiences. Sheeeeeesh.

Indeed, "reader's choice" polls are often a joke. The fact is, there are a lot of mediocre-to-bad restaurants out there, and a lot of people who eat at them and sing their praises. The only unfortunate thing is, I suspect quite a few out-of-towners rely on those types polls to guide them, which makes it more worthwhile to attempt to sway the results with your one meager vote...

      2. Shall we do a little pick-the-winner contest?

Give me Oregano's across the board. Oh, wait, wrong paper. :)
