SD: Santanas

A couple of weeks ago I pulled up to my go to Santana's location and found that it was now a burger joint (the Bay Park location next to the Circle K). I had figured that this was going to happen sooner or later since Santana's opened another location literally down the street. I've been to the new location a couple of times now and the california burritos just aren't as good as the old location. I found that this is the same with the Pacific Beach location. At both places the burritos seem to be lacking the flavor of the old Santana's.

Has anyone else noticed this as well and does anyone know of a Santana's location that can duplicate the quality of the old one? I would also welcome suggestions as to where I can find a good california burrito near the UTC area.

Thanks.

Guess nobody else here eats at Santana's?

I needed some food very late last night after a concert and got a california burrito at the Santana's in Scripps Ranch and it tasted like the old one.

Hmm, I might have to check it out although I rarely go to that area of SD. Unfortunately Scripps Ranch is about the farthest Santana's location from where I live.

Maybe I'll give the Point Loma, Mission Hills or Mission Beach locations a try.

There's a Santana's in San Marcos; I have not seen a degradation of quality there, but I don't get the california burrito, I like there carne asada best.
