Here's a link to a Michael Pollan interview with Terry Gross on Fresh Air. Thoughtful as usual.

Does it have any connection to his article in the NYT Magazine yesterday? I'm still working on my letter to the editor on that one!

Yes, he and Terry did reference his article, (which, for those who didn't catch it, apparently was on our national obsession with watching cooking shows, and then not actually cooking). I didn't get to read the article beforehand, so I had to "read" between the lines during the interview.

I was quite surprised by the statistics he quoted about people spending an incredibly short amount of time in meal prep, something like twenty-seven minutes a day cooking and four minutes cleaning up. I'm going to search the article out now.

Ah, thanks. I did scan the titles and saw a Michael Pollan thread, but since the interview only briefly mentions Julia, I assumed it was from a different piece and didn't read it.

Great observations in the thread.

Lovely interview - Pollan did indeed give the gist of his NYT piece from last Sunday.
But the host was Dave Davies substituting for Terry Gross.

Of course, it was Dave Davies. I guess I was so into the interview that I spaced out on who was giving it!
