Prawn Chips

Years ago I found prawn chips that you made at home. They started out looking like multicoloured plastic discs. They were dropped into hot oil and puffed up instantly and were cooked in less than 30 seconds. Delicious and fun to make!
Does anyone know where I can find these in the Toronto area.

    I found them at T & T. Thank you!

Most Asian stores should have them. Certainly T&T will have them -- if you want the ones from Indonesia, they'll be called "Kerupuk Udang" (kerupuk/krupuk/kroepuk are all variations of the same thing. Udang = shrimp/prawn). Indonesians are big on eating crunchy fried things with the meal.

Easy to find as suggested. They're cheap, so try a couple of brands since some can be short on flavor.

Most Asian grocery stores carry them in the dried noodle isle. I seem to recall they come in a small green box much like tea.

I know you can find them in Chinatown, but I'm not sure where...
