Cocktails at Amada

DH and I had drinks with friends at Amada before heading to Farmicia for dinner last night. Happy to report great atmosphere at Amada, friendly wait staff and great seasonal drinks. I had the "Labyrith of Passion" - the name might be a bit over the top but the drink was fresh, balanced, and worth every penny of the $12 price tag. Muddled strawberries and balsamic added to a traditional old fashioned was perfect for a hot, humid night. DH's go to beverage is a dirty martini, and he's very specific about how he likes it made - swirl of dry vermouth in a chilled glass, Kettle One, just the right amount of "dirt" and three olives - an appetizer as well as a drink. The bartender was extremely accommodating with my DH's specifications (sometimes wait staff at other places can be impatient, then deliver a sub-par beverage) and created a great, classic drink. We'll be back for dinner!
