It took a while for the server to come to our table. I ordered a cocktail which seemed to have been forgotten. My husband had to inquire about it. When it finally arrived I picked it up to drink it (vodka martini on the rocks) there was some other leftover drink in the glass. That was pretty unappetizing and disgusting. Our food took a long while to arrive and the restaurant was NOT busy. It took so long that our server even acknowledged the wait and apologized. Bottom line is that the food is great but don't have high (or any for that matter) expectations on service. I've never had a bad meal or bad service there however I have felt for quite some time that the room needs an overhaul it is tired and sad looking with bad carpeting and worn menus. We have never waited more than 3-5 mins., and have had reservations - mostly for the "chef's counter." Since they opened, we have never been disappointed, even slightly. On every visit, we have been treated like o`hana, and everything has been perfect, whether dining early with some older family members, or later, just the two of us. Sorry that your experience was less than stellar. Now, to the Pineapple Room, the subject of the post, we had an OK meal there, though it was early in its history. It did fall behind King St., and I commented in detail to the corp. office. The other two visits were for events, so they do not count.
