Let me start by saying that I'm a fan of Smuckers strawberry jam and have been for years/decades/my entire life, and have been getting my fix from either Costco or BJ's, but for the past few months, Costco hasn't carried it and now I no longer find it in BJ's. Anyone out there know the story or have you found it in one of your local big box stores recently. THanks

  1. It's been my experience (at BJ's specifically) that their stuff just changes. We use to buy big jugs of Orange Dial anti-bacterial soap there and they stopped carrying it. Ditto for other things like our favorite laundry detergent.

    1. Was in Costco today, plenty of Smuckers Strawberry Preserves.

      1. Smuckers is alive and well and are currently constructing a new production facility so It's likely a local situation. You might want to sent them a Email to alert them to the situation because I know that they take these situations very seriously.

You can order it online and they will ship it to you, but it's not cheap.

        1. THanks for the responses. Hopefully it is a "local" situation, and while I know these stores change what they carry, I was surprised that it disappeared from both shelves. Thanks again for the responses and I will check with Smuckers directly.

          1. Not to be obvious, but did you ask the store manager? That would have been my first step. First, it would get me a fast answer. Second, it would let the manager know that I noticed and it makes a difference to me.

            1. My COSTCO caries their strawberry preserves but its a Special Recipe Strawberry Preserves. I bought a pair as they come in twos, but was immediatly sorry. This Special recipe does not taste like the original. I gave one of the jars away and threw the other away very disappointed.

Costco has been carrying an organic strawberry spread that's really good, just a little more $ than Smuckers and well worth it.
