Princeton day-trip

Enjoyed lunch at Olive's followed by ice cream at Halo....both very good and quite reasonable $-wise. On the way home, we stopped at Ronny Lee's Farm near Hightstown for some nice produce to have with dinner [they were sold out of turkey salad by the time we got there in the afternoon].

On the way to Princeton, also did some [food-related] shopping at Crate & Barrel Outlet Store near Cranbury.

All in all, a most pleasant day !

  1. If you don't mind, do tell more about the Turkey Salad - been to Lee's so many times, most recently a few months back Pea Picking, never saw the turkey salad...

That was our first time at Lee's. We went there for the vegetables (I'm on his email list) without knowing about the turkey salad which we learned about from a sign on the wall. As I wrote, they were sold out for the day so I'll take that as a favorable omen .... and it seemed like a turkey & produce farm would have good raw materials from which to make the salad :-) :-)

Hopefully someone else on here can comment more definitively, and next time we'll get there earlier in the day.

P.S. --- They also had some good-looking pies on sale which we almost bought for dessert but we were trying to be well-behaved after the ice cream in Princeton :-(
