Korean restaurant in Asheville?

ilovehotpants1968 Aug 2, 2009 06:46 AM

I moved to Asheville 2 1/2 years ago and one of the first things I did was look up Korean restaurants. The closest thing I found was a post about the Noodle Shop and it's kimchee. I love the Noodle Shop but it isn't quite what I was looking for. I would love a good hole in the wall Korean restaurant w/ authentic food. I was speaking w/ a Korean lady and she had a friend that owned a few Korean restaurants in other parts of the South and I told her what a great idea it would be for her friend to open up another here in Asheville. I definitely would be a regular. Anybody else out there think this would be a great investment?

Though it may be blasphemy to purists, if they could somehow offer both Korean and Vietnamese dishes, it would be what Asheville has long needed. West Asheville would support it, I feel sure...

Greenville SC has a very good one off of Woodruff rd and garlington rd. 45 minute drive but you can get your fix there.
