Dinner Party Diary
I had an elderly customer call me looking for a dinner party diary. I checked my catalogs and could not find one. I called around town to book shops and the like. Everyone thought it was a great idea but did not have one. I got on line and found one. I ordered one for her and a couple of days later ordered one for me. It comes from Great Britain and arrived in about 5 days. It cost me about $33.00 US. This so cool you've got to check it out.

I received one of those diaries as a gift and it really didn't work out for me. I kept a journal of entertaining when we were younger (pre-kids) and entertained a lot. I kept track of a lot more than just dinner parties. The diary I received just wasn't versatile enough and I liked the flexibility of creating my own journal. I don't have to waste an entire "entry" if it's just a small cocktail party that can be summed up in a single page. The one I have is pretty, but it includes things like a seating chart, notes on several courses, timetables, etc that seem like overkill if you have a simple gathering. If people are keeping track, it seems more practical to just find a nice leather-bound book and keep track free-form (there are plenty of templates and ideas online). Just wanted to put in my 2¢. One should definitely research these well before putting out the money.

I order all types of jornals from Ryland Peters, I gave their dinner party one to one of my girlfriend that just got married. They have all types of tiltles and you can find them on Ebay or Amazon or contact them to order to sell.
