Romantic Dining For Anniversary in Cabos.............

My wife and I will spend a week in Cabos in August for our 26th anniversary. We will be staying at One and Only Palmilla. We have been there several times and dined at Las Ventanas and Esperanza. We have also been to Mi Cocina in SJD and Ediths in Los Cabos. We have been looking at Pitayas and Morgans. Also what do you think abou La Fonda. Any help is appreciated. We are interested in fine dining with music, great food, good wine and a great view. Thanks.

  1. I just ate at La Fonda last night. Fantastic food and great ambience, service was fantastic. we started with emapandas that my 12 year old flipped over. they were amazing. i had pork shank that just melted off the bone and she had tacos durros, once again great! we finished off with a piece of tres leches cake. it was so good that now my daughter wants to learn how to make it upon our arrival back in the states.
Music? We were there very early so there was none, but there may be, i did not look at a wine list and there is no view but if you want a GREAT meal this place cant be beat.

    1. El Chilar is my favorite restaurant in San Jose. - they have a nice wine list and I think sometimes there is music. This is a nasty time of year to come to Los Cabos - hot hot hot and humid. I live in Todos Santos and many of our restaurants and shops close for August and September - and we are a good ten or more degrees cooler than San Jose or San Lucas. We are on the Pacific and still get a breeze - not so in Los Cabos. I am not sure about the closings in either of those towns but you might want to check. Normally I would suggest you visit Todos Santos but so much of the town is shut down.

      1. Littleman - congratulations on your 26th anniversary

        Where did you end up?
We're heading down in 2 weeks for our anniversary as well!

        1. I second El Chilar. Very cute place and wonderful service.

Also, I don't know if it is still around but Voila in SJD is also great. I had a wonderful Christmas dinner there. One of those dinners where you keep saying "oh my god this is good".

Yes, Voila is excellent as well. I have only had lunch there but I go every time I am in San Jose. The store in front - Paulina's - is exquisite.

At this time of year things are opening once again in Todos so let me know if you are coming this way and I will give you some suggestions.
