Cookie Cake from Metro-Accessible Bakery?

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he's been mentioning how he hasn't had a cookie cake in a good long time. Not sure if this is a message, but I'm going to try to make it happen!

I know there is a Mrs. Fields in Georgetown, but I would like something a little bit more unique (and tasty!) than that. Does anyone know if any of the bakeries in town (or anywhere accessible by metro) do or might make them? I'm not very familiar with the bakeries.

Thanks in advance!

  1. There is a place in Pentagon City Mall, but I do not know the quality.

    1. Alright, I'll admit it. I freaking love the cookie cakes from the Kroger grocery stores.

haha and honestly, that may be as good as it gets. i'm not sure i've ever seen a "gourmet" cookie cake.

      2. i think it would be fairly easy to make one from scratch, and it'd be more personal ^^

Yeah, I was thinking that, too, but I thought maybe if we were out for the day it would be cool to casually stop into a bakery and then surprise him by picking up a cookie cake. We'll see though. I've been wanting to make some chocolate chip pie, recently, so maybe I'll do that instead.

        2. Don't know anything about this place except having walked past it. It's not too far from metro in Bethesda.

Thanks! I've never seen this place. I'll have to check it out. This "almond sugar cookie" sounds pretty awesome.

          2. Not sure if it's at all Harris Teeter stores, but I noticed once that they have decorated and undecorated cookie cakes in the North Bethesda location. There's also a Mrs. Field's in White Flint mall on Rockville Pike as well, where I have ordered cookie cakes before in the past.
