Monte Alban on Santa Monica has perfect mole. Don't get the green mole, though, fairly disappointing compared to the others.

if you are open to a mexican restaurant that specializes in seafood cooked in the style of nayarit and sinaloa, the place is MARISCOS CHENTE on centinela in mar vista.
this is not oaxacan, so no moles, also there will be no beans

but the shrimp and fish they serve are sublime.

If you love moles and aren't averse to driving to ELA, than I highly recommend Moles La Tia. I love Monte Alban, but Moles La Tia is even better.

Seconded. I didn't mention La Casita as I thought it was much farther from SM than La Tia, but looking at the map, it's not that much further.
