ISO Salt Packed Capers

I used to buy these all the time in the North End when I lived in Boston. I now live in the western suburbs. Any ideas where I can get them locally? (I'm looking for the large pantelleria capers).

For larger capers, I buy them at Capone's in Union Square. For the small baby ones, I have had great luck at salumeria italiana in the North End.

My last batch came from Formaggio on Huron Avenue in Cambridge. Give them a call before going, just in case, but I am pretty sure they will have just what you need.

My last trip there, I was looking for salt-packed anchovies. I used to get those in the NE but a trip there left me empty-handed. Sure enough, Formaggio had what I wanted, and I did not have to buy an entire can at a time!

I used to buy them at Salem Food on Moody St. in Waltham. Call ahead to make sure they still carry them.

Whole Foods in Fresh Pond has had them in their antipasto bar near the cheese section in the past.
