Barley cookies in New Haven, CT?
Does anyone know a bakery or restaurant in New Haven that sells barley cookies? (This can be any type of cookie or pastry or sweet where barley is an important ingredient.)
Thanks, dessert detectives.

No promises, but you might call Edge of the Woods, and Claire's Cornucopia and ask. If they don't have them, they might be able to point you in the right direction . . .

Fuel coffee shop sells these ginger scones from time to time that are delicious....I can't remember if they said it was barley or not. Try giving them a call. They weren't the dense cake style scone, but more airy.

I would encourage you to call Thyme and Season - a natural food market in Hamden. They are super nice and if they do not sell barley cookies, would be able to point you in the right direction. Their website is http://www.thymeandseasonnaturalmarket.com/retailer/store_templates/shell_id_1.asp?storeID=DCE69EEC5CDD4BD2A2230060582C9796
Also, you might try City Seed which is the organization that coordinates the farmer's markets in NH - http://www.cityseed.org/. Have you checked out Trader Joe's or Whole Foods?
