Need Newport Fine Dining Suggestions

My boss is celebrating her anniversary with her husband in a few weeks in Newport and I'd like to help them make their restaurant selection. They like fine dining and money is not a problem. They both know wine very well and appreciate a well thought out wine list. She is a vegetarian but does eat seafood. He likes almost anything. I have heard good things about 22 Bowen, Rhumbline and several others but wanted to see what chowhounders familiar with the Newport dining scene would recommend. Thanks.

The SkyBar at the Clarke Cooke House is wonderful too.

Castle Hill Inn is the finest dining in Newport:

I second Castle Hill. The food and service are wonderful, and the wine list is thorough, albeit overpriced (everything is Newport is pricey, though, so it's par for the course). I think your boss would be quite pleased.

        P.S. Vegetarians don't eat seafood. :)

Yes, I know.... As I hit "Post My Reply" I realized that real vegetarians would not eat seafood. What I meant was she's primarily a vegetarian but on occasion will eat seafood. Whatever....thanks for the recommendation. Castle Hill sounds perfect.

Castle Hill is lovely - the view alone will get them!
