I know I can go to Canyon Creek, Baton Rouge, The Keg, etc. but those seem far too common.

Can't be in downtown area as well. Budget up to $45 per person.

I would recommend The Braised Bull on Markham Rd (west side, just south of 14th Ave). Lovely decor, friendly and attentive staff -- and they really know how to cook a steak. I always get the steak and lobster tail.

Terra on Yonge offers USDA prime and A5 Australian "Kobe".

I've been to the David Duncan house one time for a corporate event (many years ago). I thought it wasn't bad (not good enough to go back) on my own dime. But I have dining companions that have returned recently and rave about their steaks. It's probably better than the Keg, et al.

if you consider a place that looks at you confused when you ask for black and blue and then makes a really grand assumption as to what that means without actually asking you... then sends out a really hacked up piece of meat worth some raves... yeah sure i guess so.

Agreed. Duncan house has great steaks and great seafood too. Its a beautiful restaurant with excellent service as well.
