dining at Starlite on a Friday night?
Using this thread since it's the only one with the Restaurant name in the title. This coming Wednesday (April 21st), Starlite is having a "100% from 100 miles" or something menu with all items from within a 100 mile radius- from the booze to the butter. I have to be out of town, so if one of you makes reservations and ends up going, tell me how you liked it. I think it's cool that a bar/lounge is doing this...I always seem to have a fine time at Starlite.

We usually go on a saturday, so it might be different on a friday, but we generally let them know that we're interested in a table later on and then sit down at the bar and chat with jack as we enjoy a cocktail or two before dinner. I agree that the number of people there is totally random, anywhere from packed to empty!
I too am a regular, and I've never had to wait to be seated for a meal before 9 o'clock. Roy, the manager in the fedora, will make sure your needs are met. The patio can fill up, but they have a "middle section" with at least eight tables and they will happily serve food at the bar. The place has a greater dining capacity than a first glance would reveal. Also, the service is on the whole pretty attentive, so they turn tables pretty well. Enjoy!
Key part of the question: "typical Friday night around 8:00PM"
I have been to Starlite tons, and I have seen it near empty (the last time I went) to packed (last summer one night, the back patio was at capacity).
That being said, I would get a reservation if they offer them.
You also can dine at the front bar and back bar.
With two people, you should be able to squeeze in pretty easy if it is a busy night.
But it is really a complete crapshoot.
